In the U.S. and internationally I’ve coached and edited New York Times Best Selling novelists, award-winning short-fiction, essay, and long-form narrative nonfiction writers, unpublished but dedicated working writers, and those new to the game who’ve always believed they had something to say, but didn’t know quite how or where to begin.
My many years of writing and analyzing a broad range of literary forms (novel, short story, essay, memoir, playwriting, screenwriting, and poetry) give me structural as well as intuitive insight into book and manuscript evaluation, and my study of, and in-depth exposure to, music, acting, dance, theater arts, and visual arts provides me a varying and flexible set of perspectives to approach the process of writing, as well as a range of methods to help my clients tap into their creative resources and organize their life for greatest productivity and success. Whether we’re working with concepts, structure, techniques for getting words to the page, prep for MFA applications, accountability, or just developing perspective on the writing life, I find inspiring, coaching, and mentoring writers, as well as book consulting, almost as rewarding as creative writing itself. Thanks so much for visiting. Please look around and see if I could help you bring your work to the page. If not, I still encourage you to write. It’s such a privilege to live this life and tell our stories. Don’t waste it. Tell yours.
